I'm Leah McHardy-Cook, the founder of West Wind Drift , a creative studio that brings together interior design, original artwork and a love for coastal living.
I'm inspired by the sea, places that feel wild and warm, and the simple things that make a house feel like home. Through both my interiors and my artwork, I aim to create spaces and pieces that feel relaxed, soulful and connected to the natural world.
A LIFE SHAPED BY THE SEA & FAR AWAY PLACES
I grew up by the coast and have always felt most at home near the sea. Travel, surf culture and time outdoors shape the way I see the world, and they're a constant source of inspiration in both my design work and my art.
After years of working in interiors and struggling to find artwork that truly captured the feeling of the coast, I started painting. What began as a personal creative outlet quickly became a passion and a natural extension of my interior work two creative paths that now go hand in hand.
Now, through West Wind Drift, I work on residential, commercial and holiday let projects, alongside a collection of original artwork and commissions, all with the same ethos to create beautiful, lived-in spaces with a sense of place and soul.
